He's the only real choice, as far as I'm concerned... He's not got the style and flash of the other choices here, but he's been round the block a few times, and he's got a good, reliable, lovable (if battered) face.
It helps that my partner adopted him for me... hopefully that's something I'll be able to barter up into power and influence come the day...

Fri, March 26, 2004 - 7:11 AMActually, in the comics, Luthor tried to blame S for a kryptonite asteroid that was going to crash into Earth, so Superman & Batman teamed up (in the Superman/Batman title, naturally) to stop Lex from "legally" punishing Big Blue. As of the last issue I read, LL was missing and presumed dead after S & B foiled his plans. -

It suddenly becomes blatantly obvious that I haven't read a Superman title (except Metropolis) in a good few months, and I haven't read a Batman title (except Gotham Central) since... actually, since I missed an issue around the "Lois teams up with Batman to go against Superman's wishes by investigating Lex" storyline.
But, well, right up till the story you just mentioned, presumably Superman's conflicted loyalty to the presidency was still providing Lex with protection, wasn't it?
Anyway, I voted for Alberto to lead... we wouldn't have to fake democratic election results, then... he'd win it on pure charm... -
